Renewal of the military licence in Málaga: agreement with the Guardia Civil

Members of the Civil Guard stationed in the province of Málaga can renew their military ID and military driving licence at our centre, thanks to the agreement established with the Civil Guard of Málaga. In this article, we explain what this service consists of and how it works.

What is the military ID?

The military ID is the official identification document for members of the State Security Forces and Corps. Its renewal is subject to periodic medical examinations that certify the holder’s fitness to perform their duties.

For the military driving licence, in addition to the identity document, a specific authorisation to drive official vehicles is required, which also necessitates periodic medical examination.

The agreement with the Civil Guard of Málaga

Our centre has an established agreement with the Civil Guard of Málaga for conducting medical examinations for its members. This means that:

• Members of the Civil Guard stationed in Málaga can come directly to our centre
• The process is tailored to the specific requirements of the institution
• The certificate is issued in compliance with the internal regulations of the Civil Guard

Available services

As part of this agreement, we offer:

• Renewal of the military ID — medical examination for the renewal of the military identity document
• Renewal of the military driving licence — specific examination for the authorisation to drive official vehicles

Who can attend?

This service is available for members of the Civil Guard who are stationed in the province of Málaga. If you are stationed in another province but need to renew here, we recommend consulting your unit or post beforehand.

Required documentation

For the examination, you must bring:

• Valid military identity document
• Licence to be renewed (the military ID and/or the military driving licence)
• Glasses if you use them regularly

Is an appointment necessary?

It is recommended to book an appointment, especially for groups or if you need the renewal on a specific date. For individual renewals, there is generally availability on the same day.

The examination

The examination is conducted at the centre in a single visit. It includes the medical and psychotechnical tests required according to the type of licence being renewed. The certificate is issued on the same day.
